Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We seek to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Teacher of Maths to join a strong department in a vibrant, high performing and over-subscribed 11-16 academy.
The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Maths, joining a team of experienced high performing subject specialists. Additional subject or whole school-based responsibility will be agreed with the successful candidate as part of the selection process. We are actively encouraging prospective and future subject leaders of maths to apply for this role.
This position is fixed term and is suited to an individual with drive, passion and commitment who may be keen for career advancement in the future.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS Certificate from the Disclosure & Barring Service. Details can be found on https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check.
• Experience of working as part of a curriculum team to design and develop resources to support learning.
• Experience of teaching GCSE and A-level Maths
• Working with young people in a mentoring or tutorial capacity
• Proven record of developing schemes of work and of raising attainment
• Good Degree from a recognised university.
• Qualified Teacher Status.

1) Salary:Teacher Main Scale 1 to UPS 3 (£31,650 - £49,084) + TLR2B (£5,646)
2) Full time (32.5 hours per week, with part time option 0.8 FTE) / Fixed Term 12 months
