Summary
Part-Time Admin Assistant – Cleaning & Household Service Agency
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Admin Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our cleaning and household services agency. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the business manager and take on a variety of administrative and operational tasks.
About the Role
This is a part-time, office-based role in SE20, with the potential to move to a hybrid setup once you have settled in. Ideally, you will work 16-20 hours per week over 4-5 days, with the potential for hours to increase over time.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, is highly organised, and is looking to grow within a business. There is room for career progression for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
* Communicating with cleaners and housekeepers
* Creating and posting job adverts, shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews, and onboarding new hires
* Managing the company’s social media, CRM, and databases
* Supporting the company director with administrative and personal assistant tasks
* Taking the initiative to improve efficiency and support business growth
What We Are Looking For
* A confident and professional communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Good computer skills and the ability to work with modern apps and systems
* A fast learner who can take ownership of tasks and work independently
* Organised and detail-oriented, with a problem-solving mindset
* Previous experience in a similar administrative or recruiting role
* Experience in the cleaning, housekeeping, childcare, or other service industry is a plus but not essential
* An additional European language would be an advantage
Full training will be provided, but a solid understanding of business administration, a willingness to take initiative and a drive to succeed and grow within the company are key.
Salary & Benefits
* Full-time role (40 hours) salary starts at £26,000 per year, with 28 days of paid holiday per year.
* Part-time positions are paid pro-rata, including salary and holiday entitlement.
* Opportunity for career progression and additional commission-based earnings for high-value placements.
