Summary


The Corporate Governance Team is a small and friendly team which works at pace. Our mission is to embed good governance across our new Trust.

The postholder will play a key role in supporting the effective running of the Executive Management Committee, and supporting on the Trust’s Committees as well as the Board. You will also support on activities such as policy management, declarations of interest and the Board Assurance Framework.

We are looking for a talented candidate who is experienced in administration in a complex area of business with experience of working with senior stakeholders. You must be able to take accurate minutes with a keen eye for detail, have excellent organising and administration skills and have advanced knowledge of MS office packages.

The role will involve significant exposure to senior stakeholders including the Chair of the Trust, the Chief Executive, Board members, the Director of Corporate Governance and other senior colleagues internally and externally.

This role would suit an individual who is enthusiastic with a ‘can-do’ attitude. We are looking for someone who is keen to develop and enhance their skills and experience within the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

· Secretariat support to the Trust’s Board and Committees, Executive Management Committee and the Council of Governors. Tasks include being a super-user of our Board software to prepare meeting packs, to play a leading role on meeting arrangements, take accurate minutes, update action logs and providing support to meeting members and attendees.

· Compliance activities such as policy management and declarations of interest.

· Supporting on the Board Assurance Framework.

· Support with onboarding Non Executive Directors and leaving arrangements.

· Non Website and intranet updates and inbox management

. Supporting our Governors and Members.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

We are recruiting a new six-month position at Band 7 – this is an internal secondment opportunity.
