Summary
Footsteps Nursery is part of Westfield Housing Association and is Ofsted registered to provide early years education and childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years. At its last three Ofsted inspections the nursery has been rated as 'outstanding'. If you would like to join our successful team, we are currently seeking to recruit Early Years Childcare Practitioners on either a part or full-time basis.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who combine their knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a desire to provide high quality early years education and care for all children at our outstanding nursery.
Applicants must possess a diploma/level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent as a minimum, as well as the ability to communicate effectively to children, staff and parents, respect and maintain confidentiality, be well organised and a commitment to participate in in-service training.
Duties include acting as a Key Worker in the delivery of activities, maintaining a safe, caring environment and providing input to planning and evaluation of resources and activities.
We can offer part or full-time hours, ranging from 25 to 35 hours per week. Hourly rate from 1st April 2025 is £12.60 per hour (the Real Living Wage rate), plus £150 introductory bonus payment upon successful completion of 6 month probationary period and cost of Enhanced DBS Check . An excellent salary and benefits package, including 5 weeks annual leave plus 3 nominated days to be taken over the Christmas /New Year period, and statutory bank holidays, with an additional one day being granted for each year of service up to a maximum of 5 extra days (pro-rata for part-time staff), increasing annual leave to a total of 6 weeks plus the 3 nominated days over Christmas/New Year plus bank holidays.
