Summary
TheOxfordshireCommunityChildren'sNursing team provide vital support to children from birthto18 years with complex nursing needs acrossthe county. The children on our caseload have a variety of chronic and acute conditions and require nursing support such as enteral feeding, long term ventilation and symptom management. The support we provide includes empowering families to care for their child's health needs at home, providing respite sessions, delivering acute and palliative care outside of the hospital environment, and supporting children at school.We are commissioned to provide all of these services within each of our four localities. This role is based at Abingdon Community Hospital, however we offer a countywide service and travel to other areas/bases is required on a regular basis. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for work. Our core service hours are between 08.00-20.00, 7 days a week, working contracted hours as a shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays. The manager on call rota operates between 16:00-08:00 weekdays and 24hrs/day over weekends/bank holidays. This role is for 30hrs/week however full time hours of 37.5 hours per week will be considered for the right candidate. If necessary, flexible working adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
