What is Corporate Services within MCA?
The Directorate of Corporate Services is responsible for the effective delivery of Corporate Services to the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA). Corporate Services includes Communications, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health & Safety, Human Resources, Internal Audit and Assurance, Programme Management Office, and Property & Facilities.
Human Resources is a key enabling function responsible for the planning and delivery of the MCA's People Strategy and a full range of HR services including Organisational Design and Development, Talent Management Employee Relations, Volunteer support, Reward and Resourcing, Planning and Governance.
Who is the HR Resourcing Advisor?
HR Resourcing Advisors work with all directorates within the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) providing effective support and guidance for all resourcing needs, whilst ensuring compliance across all processes.
With a focus on inclusion, improving diversity and a great candidate journey, you would be expected to continuously develop your skills and knowledge.
You will work alongside the other members of the resourcing team to help provide team resilience and ensure that vacancies are compliant and run smoothly.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as point of contact for hiring managers to offer guidance and support on all aspects of the resourcing process including but not limited to:
- Assessment assistance
- Pre-employment/onboarding including medical health checks
- Campaign advice including advice on attraction strategies
- Job description development and design
- Support on assessment material
- Provide advice and guidance on how best to source the required talent for their vacancy
- Ensuring that all resourcing services provided across the MCA are consistent and in line with team strategic goals whilst adhering to governance standards and industry best practice including GDPR and the Civil Service Recruitment Principles
