Summary

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with expertise in furnace reliability, calibration, and thermocouple systems?
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to ensure the smooth operation, calibration, and maintenance of industrial furnaces. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a technical, hands-on role, contributing to a high-performing maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Furnace Maintenance & Fault Resolution – Perform daily checks and inspections to ensure all furnaces are operating correctly, and address any faults promptly.
System Accuracy Testing (SATs) & Compliance – Conduct weekly SATs and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure furnaces meet qualification standards.
Calibration & Certification – Oversee furnace instrument calibration schedules, sign off calibration certificates, and maintain accurate records.
Thermocouple Management – Manufacture, calibrate, and replace Type R and Type K thermocouples, ensuring all records are logged and updated.
Team Leadership & Training – Assist in supervising electricians, contractors, and apprentices, while supporting the Maintenance Management Team.
Documentation & Record-Keeping – Maintain a detailed log of furnace performance, calibration records, and maintenance schedules.
General Maintenance Support – Work across departments as required to support the wider maintenance function.

What We're Looking For:
✔ Experience in Furnace Maintenance & Calibration – Previous experience working with industrial furnaces, thermocouples, and heat treatment processes.
✔ Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of furnace control systems, calibration procedures, and preventative maintenance programs.
✔ Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail – Ability to quickly diagnose and repair furnace faults while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
✔ Leadership & Supervisory Skills – Capable of training and supporting apprentices, overseeing contractors, and stepping in for the Maintenance Management Team when required.
✔ Record-Keeping & Compliance – Experience in maintaining calibration certificates, survey records, and maintenance logs.
