Summary
We are seeking a Grocery Store Manager with a Food Science Background to oversee daily operations, ensure food safety compliance, and drive sales. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in food science with strong leadership skills to manage inventory, maintain quality standards, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations & Management
I) Oversee daily store operations, including staff scheduling and workflow management.
II) Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and product displays.
III)Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
2. Food Safety & Quality Assurance
I)Monitor product freshness, expiration dates, and proper storage conditions.
II)Work with vendors to ensure high-quality food products meet safety standards.
3. Inventory & Supply Chain Management
I)Manage stock levels, ordering, and vendor relationships to minimize waste.
II)Conduct inventory audits and ensure proper rotation of perishable items.
III)Implement strategies to reduce food waste and maximize profitability.
4. Customer Service & Sales Growth
I)Ensure a positive shopping experience by maintaining excellent customer service.
II)Handle customer complaints and inquiries regarding food quality.
III)Develop and implement promotions to boost sales and attract customers.
5. Financial & Business Management
I)Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profit margins.
II)Develop budgets and control operational costs to maximize efficiency.
III)Analyse sales data to optimize product selection and pricing strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
I) Education: Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
II) Experience: Minimum 1-2years of experience in grocery retail, food industry, or a related role..
III) Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
IV) Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis.
V) Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
VI) Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
