Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for Refuse and Cleansing Operatives in Caerphilly area.
The main responsibility of your role will be to undertake, usually as a member of a team, duties connected with the removal of refuse and ccleansing including working on multiple sites and waste streams.
Other responsibilities:
* To assisting the driver in safe manoeuvring of the vehicle on the round or at the disposal / recycling location.
* To attend any relevant training courses and cooperate with any health and safety inspections or monitoring processes.
* To assist with the promotion of recycling services, including the wearing of any safety and promotional material designated to that service.
* To undertake as and when required any labouring duty associated with the Neighbourhood Services team.
* Ensure compliance with the Council's Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures
* To implement the principles of the Council's Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties
* To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.
* To implement the principles of the Council's Environment Policy while carrying out the above duties.
* To report without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Chief Officer from time to time.
Interviews being held on Thursday 20th March. If successful will be a start date on Monday 24th March.
