An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the head, neck and thyroid, specialist nursing team as a band 4 Cancer Care Support Worker, based at Southampton General hospital, to deliver personalised care to our patients.

As a Cancer Care Support Worker responsibilities will include co-ordination and tracking of patient pathway, facilitating patient initiated follow up (PIFU) for thyroid cancer, and clinical and administrative support for cancer patients throughout their journey.

You will work closely with the specialist nurses and along side the wider head and neck MDT. You will be supported to further your skills and knowledge to fulfil a changing role with an opportunity of developing the role further.

As the main clinic day is Tuesday you will be required to work later on this day, with a shorter working day on another day to be agreed.
