Summary
Your new company
The organisation is a well established manufacturing company which has recently implemented a new system with the aim of streamlining their procurement and finance systems. They are now looking for someone who can take responsibility for the operational elements of procurement reporting into the Purchasing Manager as well as help facilitate the implementation of the new system.
Your new role
In your new role you will be expected to:
Raise and process purchase requisitions
Create purchase orders
Accept deliveries and process goods received notes
Supplier benchmarking and negotiation i.e. price time, lead times and payment terms
Follow up on over-due deliveries
Source parts and services
Conduct cost negotiations
Contribute to the management of inventory
What you'll need to succeed
Hours of work:
38 hours per week based on site 08.00-16.30 Monday to Thursday, 08.00-14.30 Friday. 30 minutes unpaid lunch daily.
You will need to have procurement experience for this position and ideally within a manufacturing organisation. There will be elements of working alongside the manufacturing team members, so you will also need to have strong communication and work to your own initiative.
