Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking an experienced Accountant for our client's requirement of Staff Officer Accountant in the Northern Ireland Civil Service- The Executive Office. where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a role opportunities, enhance their skills and professional credibility and benefit from great work-life balance options.
Your new role
Financial reporting SO Accountant:
- Main duties:
- Assistance in preparation of Monthly, Interim and Year end accounts
- Preparation of VAT/HMRC returns
- Partial exemption calculation
- Preparation for CIS and P11D returns
- Provisions
- Monthly reconciliations/analytical reviews - Balance Sheet and OCS
- Bank account reconciliations (local and international)
- Preparation of foreign exchange differences
- International Offices reimbursements
- Review and Post Monthly accruals/prepayment journals
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Active Chartered Accountant with two years post-qualification experience gained within the last 5 years in a finance/accounts preparation environment.
Desirable-Excellent Excel skills, technical accounting knowledge, Oracle knowledge, financial systems experience, VAT and accounts preparation knowledge.
