The Role

We are seeking a Surveying Manager to join our Asset Management Team a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be responsible for leading all technical property-related surveying duties, providing expert knowledge of policies, legislation, and regulations such as Planning Permission and Building Regulations. You will also manage a team of Surveyors, ensuring the effective delivery of Eastlight’s surveying services by supporting them with their workload, identifying their training needs and empowering them to succeed.

Your day-to-day duties will include overseeing the stock condition process, leading on complex property issues and disputes, managing energy performance certifications, and ensuring the effective delivery of remedial works for issues like damp and condensation, while supporting with the Landlords consent and disrepair claims processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need a relevant degree in Building Surveying of an HND/HNC level or a related equivalent qualification in construction. Extensive experience in surveying at a senior level, particularly within social housing, is essential. You should have excellent technical knowledge of domestic property construction, defect identification, and the ability to manage complex surveying projects, including damp and condensation issues.

The ability to develop and lead a team, along with a proven track record of managing staff in a surveying or construction field, is also required.
