Summary
Join us as a Junior Product Designer at Mettle
- In this key role, you’ll contribute great design thinking and UX and UI skills to deliver high quality design solutions which meet customer needs and business objectives
- You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, researchers, data analysts and developers to create seamless customer experiences
What you’ll do
As a Junior Product Designer, you’ll be working within a product team to deliver best-in-class solutions for Mettle’s customers and colleagues. You’ll demonstrate design thinking and the ability to problem solve by transforming customer insights into designed experiences, following the user-centred design process
You’ll also be:
- Producing journey maps, wireframes, hi-fidelity UI and prototypes to effectively communicate ideas
- Participating in ideation, brainstorming and critique workshops
- Working with other designers on Mettle’s design systems, ensuring accessibility is paramount
- Helping to set the vision for product design at Mettle, and contribute to the goals of the wider design team
The skills you’ll need
We’re looking for someone with 1-2 years experience of designing digital applications and products. You’ll also bring the ability to work well in an agile, fast-paced and data-driven environment.
We’ll also expect you to have:
- An understanding of user research and the benefits that these insights have on design solutions
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of creating solutions that combine the needs of the customer with the needs of the business
