The Professional Standards Authority is a strategic organisation with a key role in ensuring high standards of patient safety through excellence in regulation. We promote the health, safety and wellbeing of patients, service users and the public by raising standards of regulation and registration of people working in health and care. We are an independent body, accountable to the UK Parliament. We are a small organisation that is respected for its expertise.

What we are looking for:

We are looking to recruit a Scrutiny Manager to join our Performance Review team within the Regulation and Accreditation Directorate. The team is responsible for conducting performance reviews of the 10 regulators that the PSA oversees.
As a Scrutiny Manager, you will manage a small team reviewing the performance of five regulators.

We are looking to recruit an individual who:

• Has the ability to manage a team working on multiple annual programmes of work
• Has the analytical skills and attention to detail to quality assure the complex work of a team to ensure its accuracy
• Is adept at forming and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders, including senior staff at the regulators
• Can work collaboratively within a small team, helping others with work as required
• Can review and develop internal processes to help us continually improve what we do

The PSA currently operates a hybrid policy. In the first six months of employment full time staff working over five days will be expected to attend the office three days a week and two thereafter. However, should you require any reasonable adjustments please contact us directly to discuss.
