Summary
The successful candidate will interpret referrals, manage their own caseload, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients needs. You will be responsible for conducting regular assessments and delivering appropriate interventions using a range of therapeutic techniques, ensuring all methods align with the Services goals and are properly documented in patient records. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, participating in multidisciplinary care planning, and collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals. In addition, you will contribute to peer and individual performance reviews, engage in self-development, and support the professional growth of Therapy Assistants and students. You will also uphold the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality in line with Trust and departmental policies, including the British Association of Occupational Therapists Code of Conduct. The role demands effective communication skills to interact sensitively with clients, their families, and other professionals, especially when dealing with high-stress situations or distressing circumstances. The ideal candidate will be resilient, able to manage physically demanding tasks, and skilled in helping patients adjust to life-impacting conditions.
