Summary

ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced Nursery Manager to join one of our clients at a busy 36-place nursery located on the north side of Coventry. This role offers opportunities for career progression, including potential head office positions within the company.

What We Are Looking For:

    • Monitoring the condition of the facility and equipment, arranging maintenance, repairs, and procurement of new items as needed.
    • Communicating with parents and carers about their child’s progress and behaviour.
    • Responding to inquiries regarding enrolment, payments, and nursery practices.
    • Developing and implementing age-appropriate annual events and activities.
    • Preparing the nursery for Ofsted inspections and ensuring inspector recommendations are followed.

    The Nursery Manager will be responsible for the daily running of the nursery, ensuring the facility provides a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. Key duties include:

      • Liaising with professional bodies and regulatory authorities.
      • Supervising nursery staff to ensure the highest standards of childcare.
      • Reporting on children's progress to parents and carers.
      • Managing administrative duties such as rotas, staff meetings, and appraisals.
      • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and preparing for inspections.

      Qualifications and Experience:

        • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nursery Manager in the UK (essential).
        • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or higher (UK-recognised).
        • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) certified – Level 3 (essential).
        • Management qualification (desirable but not essential).
        • Strong administrative and leadership skills, with experience in a similar role.
