Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Team Coordinator/Charge Nurse in Adult Critical Care at King's Mill Hospital.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Critical Care nurse to help support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
As the Team Coordinator/Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in helping to run the busy unit on a day-to-day basis. Working closely with the Department Leader and senior team, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, fostering a dynamic and innovative leadership style.
We have an excellent Clinical Education Team that will provide you with the support and encouragement you need to continue your professional development as part of our dynamic Critical Care team. You will have the opportunity to remain actively involved in patient care while contributing to the growth and improvement of our service.

• Take charge of the Critical Care Unit on a day-to-day basis, managing staffing, patient care, and ensuring the highest standard of care for critically ill patients.
• Provide regular direct clinical care and use your Critical Care experience to support the implementation of both clinical and non-clinical governance.
• Work flexibly as a member of the Critical Care Multi-Disciplinary Team to evaluate and improve standards.
• Serve as the principal point of contact between the Critical Care department and external auditors, ensuring all relevant training, protocols, and compliance standards are met.
• Support and mentor junior nurses and students, encouraging a culture of professional development and high standards of patient-centred care.
• Become involved in service and quality improvement projects, auditing, and clinical governance activities.
