About the role:
The Security Project Delivery Manager will work as part of the Engineering and Delivery Team to deliver business improvements across CRC Operational teams, ensuring that expected outcomes of security project objectives are met within cost and time constraints.

They will utilise good security knowledge and apply it, whilst leading and utilising their knowledge of project management in planning, tracking progress, managing risks and issues, financial, resource and stakeholder management. The post holder will, through good collaboration ensure compliance with required standards and frameworks as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage several deliveries (which could include process changes, IT changes, organisational changes) simultaneously for key operational areas of CRC ensuring all changes are fully tested and fit for purpose.
  • Work with business and technical representatives to manage requirements and lead deliveries.
  • Communicate accurate progress status updates regularly and at the appropriate level, including with senior leaders.
  • Define business requirements and work with the Engineering scrum master to prioritise and transform these into achievable engineering tasks and outputs.
  • Develop, create and maintain documentation and records using tools and techniques established within the team.
  • Tracking and managing Programme spend and forecasts regularly and work together with the Finance Business Partner to maintain accurate records
  • Lead on Commercial procurements with involvement at every stage of the procurement process including chairing supplier contract review meetings where appropriate.
  • Lead on ad-hoc team activities supporting senior leaders at SCS working with stakeholders across the DWP.
  • Managing the Programme’s Business Cases portfolio supporting on input, forecasting and ensuring a high standard is maintained.
  • Line Management of a small team which may include contractors, apprentices and other Security Project staff
  • Project or programme management qualifications would be beneficial but are not a formal requirement of this role.
