Summary
Role: Solar PV Maintenance Electrician
FES Support Services provide the complete maintenance service for our renewable energy contracts and are committed to recruiting and retaining the highest calibre of staff and offer good opportunities for career progression.
Due to our continued growth and success in the field of renewable energy, we now require a suitable candidate for the electrical maintenance of the Solar PV and battery storage projects.
Candidates shall be time served electricians and have experience of working on all types of general electrical building services and renewable systems, including maintenance, fault finding and the ability to work on their own initiative.
You will be involved in the maintenance of Solar PV, Battery Storage and Electric Vehicle Charging projects.
The successful candidate will provide first line reactive and planned electrical maintenance and general facilities activities, be presentable to clients with excellent customer focus and communication skills.
About the Role
• General maintenance of containment, Wiring, SWA, Small Power & Lighting, solar PV, battery storage and EV charge points
• Wide range of projects for domestic and commercial
• Ensure all electrical work is safe, certified and complies with relevant regulations
• Collection of materials and components from suppliers if required
• Managing paperwork on site including quality checks
• Liaising with customer and client
Key Skills & Experience
• Fully qualified Electrician (solar PV experience preferable but not essential, training can be provided)
• Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations certification preferred
• NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regs
• Excellent knowledge of wiring regulations and certification.
• Ability to perform system inspection & testing to BS 7671, commissioning and handover.
• Valid CSCS Card
• Full driving licence
