Summary

Swansea University’s Web Team is seeking an experienced Web Development Officer to support a wide range of digital and content management tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with web editors, content creators, and web developers to enhance usability and deliver an exceptional user experience across our online platforms.

As the primary point of contact for web users across the University, you’ll need excellent customer service skills to assist in resolving content-related technical issues. You’ll also provide guidance, training, and support on best practices for web development and content management.

This role combines marketing expertise with web management responsibilities, requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving abilities. You’ll be comfortable troubleshooting technical content issues, working with digital platforms, and contributing to the continual improvement of the user experience.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Web Marketing Officers to drive a programme of continuous enhancements, ensuring the University’s website consistently meets the needs of its users.

Experience in creating and managing web content, along with a solid understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS), is essential for this role. Knowledge of accessibility standards and SEO principles would be highly desirable.

If you’re a proactive problem-solver with a passion for digital content and a strong commitment to excellence, you’ll find this role an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative and forward-thinking team.
