Summary

Are you aqualified Ophthalmic Nurse Injector nurse with experiencein a Nurse-Led Intravitreal Injection Service? Are you keen to be involved in leading and developing a Nurse-Led Intravitreal Injection Service which meet our Values of Compassion, Respect, Courage, Accountability and Integrity? Person specification Education, Training & Qualification Essential criteria Registered Nurse Educated to degree level or equivalent level of education, training or experience Mentorship course and proven track record of teaching and assessing IVT Injection Qualification Post grad modules specific to Ophthalmology Desirable criteria Non-Medical Prescriber. Experience Essential criteria Autonomous intravitreal injection practitioner, with a minimum of 1 year experience Knowledge of AMD / RVO / DMO service/protocols, pathways, and treatment Knowledge of healthcare and ophthalmology issues Competence use of slit lamp OCT Interpretation Knowledge of clinical governance and its applications. Desirable criteria Local and national Ophthalmology strategies. Skills Essential criteria Able to communicate sensitive information to patient Excellent communication skills Confident in change management Strong leadership abilities. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
