About the team

At Herts Equipment Service, our vision is to offer an outstanding service to our clients and their families. You will be part of a team of 8 other Service and Maintenance Technicians and a Senior Manager that oversees the Technical Operation Officer and team. To assist with our own Customer Service team and all departments that work within HES. Going forward there is scope to move up in the Pay points if all challenges and requirements are met.

About the role

We are actively recruiting for a Service and Maintenance Technician within our team. The post holder will be required to service, maintain and repair a wide range of daily living aids, non-stock items and medical equipment both in clients homes or in our workshop based at Mundells Welwyn Garden City.

Although this role is advertised as part time, there may be a need to work the occasional full week of 37 hours to cover Annual leave or Absence

About you

Essential:

Full Manual Driving Licence
Proven Mechanical Background
Empathetic and understanding of needs of older Clients
Eye for detail
Good customer service skills
This role involves lifting equipment upstairs
Good verbal and written skills

Desirable:

Experience of Health and Social care
Understanding of Health and Safety legislation including MHRA and LOLER requirements
