Summary
Job Responsibilities
The main responsibility of the role is to ensure the on-time delivery of customer orders in the most efficient way possible. Also included in the job is responsibility for accepting and checking goods in. To ensure a smooth process you will be:
• packaging a variety of different vessels containing a variety of chemicals including hazardous materials (inner and outer packaging)
• preparing and printing labels
• liaising with freight companies and freight forwarders
• obtaining quotes and booking shipments
• adhering to all shipping regulations
• adhering to all H&S regulations
• preparing and distributing paperwork related to shipment (including DNG’s)
• accepting and checking goods in
• keeping accurate electronic records
• To support lab activities as required
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 GCSE passes A-D, including Maths and English.
Previous experience of working with chemicals is an advantage
An interest in working in chemical manufacture.
