Skills & Experience:

Must have an HNC or equivalent in a relevant field of study
Asbestos awareness training
Working at height training
Manual handling training
CSCS Card
Experience in building surveying, particularly in identifying and diagnosing general building and structural defects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage customer interactions effectively.



What's involved with this role: We're looking for a skilled Building Surveyor to join the Area Surveying team. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for inspecting reported defects in customers' homes, diagnosing issues, and determining the necessary repairs. You'll have the chance to directly impact the lives of residents by managing the process from assessment to resolution—arranging equipment, ordering materials, and overseeing the completion of work.

Your deep knowledge of building defects, including water ingress and damp issues, will be key. As part of a team with a zero-tolerance policy for mould, you'll play a vital role in tackling damp, mould, and condensation across properties.

Key duties:

Conduct inspections and surveys of homes, schools, and public buildings to identify and diagnose building and structural defects.
Assist in delivering services by managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Provide excellent customer service by effectively handling inquiries and addressing concerns from residents and external clients.
Ensure all activities comply with current legislation, policies, and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
