Summary
Job title: Independent Assessor for End Point Assessment (IA EPA) College: Health Wellbeing and Life Sciences Grade: Independent Assessor - Tier 1 Reports to: Associate Head of Health and Social Care Direct reports: None Role purpose To undertake independent assessment of apprentices End-Point Assessment (EPA). Responsibilities To work as part of panel team to carry out synoptic independent assessment in accordance with the Assessment Plan for the relevant Apprenticeship Standards To carry out the role of Independent Assessor through the methods stipulated in the Assessment Plan To carry out training and continuous professional development to maintain awareness of current developments in the design and delivery of relevant assessments To ensure independence in assessment verification and moderation in-line with internal moderation and processes set out in the End-Point Assessment Page 5 of 7 Operational Plan Work with other panel members to ensure consistency of assessment methods To work with Assessment Boards (Apprenticeships) and other quality assurance activities to support the validity, fairness and reliability of assessment. To attend meetings, training and moderation events with Sheffield Hallam University and maintain and supply records appropriate continuing professional development activities relevant to their sector and area of expertise.
