Summary
Schools around Forest Gate and surrounding areas are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and want to gain valuable classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain focused and engaged in their learning. This role begins asap.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise lessons across various subjects using pre-prepared lesson plans.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Support students in staying on task and completing assigned work.
- Follow school policies and procedures to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role (desirable but not essential).
- A strong interest in education and working with young people.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups.
- A proactive, confident, and professional approach.
