Summary
Position: Sushi Chef
Employer: Newton Sushi Ltd
Locations: Hexham, Carlisle & Dumfries
Salary: £29- £31K Per Annum
Working days / hours: 39 hours within a 5 to 6 day week
Benefits & Entitlements: 28 days paid holiday (prorata), employer’s pension contribution, Chef’suniform and meals on duty.
Able to manage kitchen. You will have the requiredlevel of skills and knowledge for preparing, Sushidishes using fresh ingredients and traditionalcooking methods. You will be required to preparecomplex marinades, concentrated stock, herb &spice blends, and ingredient fusions.
You will also be involved in planning of seasonaldishes and specials in addition to our establishedmenus. You will work in conjunction with Director.You will also be training supervising junior staff,further duties will include monitoring andmanagement of food waste, dealing with suppliers,rotation quality checks, implementing and ensuringcompliance of hygiene and health & safetyguidelines. You will also regulate and monitor foodtemperatures, and assist in cost analysis andreview, and preparing reports and schedules,performing key duties as assigned.
The key skills and qualities we are looking for are:
At least 3 years culinary expertise in Sushi.
Good communication skill
Good English
