The Financial Planning, Performance and Transformation team is seeking a Financial Planning and Performance Partner. As one of the largest higher education providers in Wales, the University provides an ideal setting for individuals to develop their careers, nurture their talent and make a difference.



This role will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your financial skills, data analysis and partnering abilities, providing senior stakeholders and external bodies with credible, robust, specialist knowledge and insight relating to the financial results of the University.



Specifically, you will have a curious nature, a passion for data analysis, strong numerical skills, and a love of solving problems. You will bring experience of turning data into actionable insight and translating complex analysis for key stakeholders across the University to influence change and decision making at Executive level. You will play a pivotal part in shaping and driving a stronger understanding of the university income streams, costs and cost drivers through developing and enhancing existing financial returns, such as TRAC (R) (Transparent Activity Costing for Research), providing the University with insight of the overall cost associated with delivering each activity. This role will also progress the culture to continuously develop and improve financial intelligence and will implement changes to improve processes and financial visibility within the University.



Based at Pontypridd, with some home working, this role will all you to utilise your range of organisational, interpersonal and financial skills to support the senior finance management team of the University. The post holders will be line managed by the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. This is a full-time permanent post.



If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University / RWCMD (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
