Summary
Important: The working week of individual employees may be arranged over a 7 day period, including weekends, The standard working week shall remain at 37 hours where hours worked are not in excess of 37 hours.
(the 2 days at Loughborough site candidate will be required to do on spot taxi checks to ensure drivers are compliant to work for the city of Wolverhampton council, these shifts can sometimes last until 3 am at night.
Travel costs are not covered
Contract length is 3 to 6 months (likely to last longer)
Own transport is essential
Job Purpose and Role:
1. Under the general direction of a Section Leader - Compliance or the Service Lead - Compliance to assist in the efficient and effective discharge of duties and tasks assigned to the post as directed by the Licensing Manager.
2. To work to a shift pattern that ensures that there is sufficient compliance coverage which includes working outside of normal hours, particularly late evening / early morning including weekends / bank holidays, while effectively managing and prioritising the case load attached to the post.
3. To provide technical advice, guidance in compliance for licensing regulations. To provide support and assistance to officers of the service to enable the efficient and effective discharge of the duties and tasks
4. To contribute towards the achievement of the Council's corporate objectives and strategic priorities through inter-divisional, inter-service and partnership working. 5. To undertake and organise compliance operations in towns and cities across the country. Provide advice to Officers of other Councils and local police on all licensing related matters
