Job Overview:
As a Carer, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. Your role will involve assisting with daily tasks, promoting independence, and delivering person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, including transfers and moving assistance.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary requirements.
Administer medication following care plans and company policies.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and well-being to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
Ensure care is delivered in line with individual care plans and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and legal requirements.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a caring role is preferred but not essential.
A caring and compassionate nature with a commitment to improving the lives of others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care) are desirable but not essential.
