Summary
To provide clinical leadership and expert advice and support on safeguarding children to all Oxleas staff. To ensure that staff are fully aware of their statutory responsibilities to safeguard children, young people and adults at risk. To ensure the delivery of the safeguarding children service locally and assist the Head of Safeguarding to ensure provision across the trust. To provide clinical leadership and line management to the Specialist Safeguarding Nurses/ Practitioners/MASH Health Professionals. To participate in the development and delivery of safeguarding children training as per the Intercollegiate guidance (children and adult); and as part of the local safeguarding children partnership multi agency training programme. To report any serious incidents with safeguarding children implications and to contribute specialist knowledge to the investigation of such incidents. The post holder will work in close partnership with external stakeholders towards ensuring effective safeguarding arrangements. To develop and undertake audit and review activity, ensuring that any recommendations and action plans are addressed.
