The Role
At Tameside, our vision for the Planning Service is to say yes to good development openly and quickly.
We are looking to recruit a Planning Technician to our Development Management Team to support the delivery of an excellent customer focussed planning service. The role will specifically provide technical support through the validation of planning applications, providing basic pre-application advice and supporting Planning Officers with the processing of applications.
About You
You will be organised, analytical and confident with excellent IT skills and high levels of care and accuracy in your work. You will also need to have a flexible approach to work, great people skills, the ability to work under pressure and the willingness to support change and innovation. Ideally you will have knowledge of town planning and have experience of working within a Planning environment.
