Summary
There is a school that is seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to support the effective delivery of science lessons. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting teachers and students in practical science learning. This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a Science Technician:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons
- Ensure all science apparatus, chemicals, and equipment are maintained and stored safely
- Assist teachers and students during experiments and demonstrations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of stock, ordering supplies when necessary
- Support the wider science department in developing engaging learning experiences
Ideal Science Technician:
- A qualification in Science (A-Level or higher) or experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team as a Science Technician.
- A passion for science and supporting student learning
