MET Technician / Mechanic
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
Salary: £20 per hour (£45,000+ per year)
Hours: 40-hour week, Monday to Friday
Job Description: MET Technician / Mechani
Our client is looking for a skilled and efficient MET Technician / Mechanic to join their team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical and electrical components on a variety of vehicles within a state-of-the-art workshop.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
• Recognised apprenticeship or technical qualification (NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ) in MET or Mechanical Repair
• Previous experience as an MET Technician / Mechanic in a fast-paced body shop or workshop
• Strong team player with a self-motivated approach to achieving bonus hours
• Experience with geometry work and four-wheel alignment
• Up-to-date knowledge of diagnostic equipment and repair techniques
Duties & Responsibilities: MET Technician / Mechani
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to damaged vehicles
• Strip and refit vehicle parts to facilitate repairs
• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Perform geometry and four-wheel alignment work
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations
