It is advisable to refer to this when submitting your application for the post.Job PurposeTo support young man with everyday activitiesLocation Thorpe Next Haddiscoe, NR14Job DetailsWe would like to employ a PA/Carer to support a 22 year old man who is a wheelchair user and on autistic spectrum, to enable him some independence and give Mum some respite. Although it takes a little time for him to get used to people, he is sociable and chatty, and enjoys activities such as bowling and going to Norwich for shopping and lunch out. He also likes travelling on trains and buses and playing on his iPad. The PA should have some experience as the role will require personal care, and he does require close supervision. The PA will also have use of our Motability car to get out and about, and they should be dog friendly.Required Characteristics
- Flexible and reliable
- Family/pet friendly
- Experience in a caring role
- Experience/knowledge of Autism
- Driver with own car (due to rural location)
- The rate of pay for this position is £13.00 per hour
- Hours of work: Up to 9 hours weekly daytimes at times to be agreed at interview, plus 12 night time sleep-ins annually at a flat fate of £59.42
- 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays
- Free Careskills training as appropriate for role
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
