We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our midwifery team at Royal Free London Trust as a permanentband 7
The post holder will:-
• Promote continuity of care models.
• Provide individualised support for midwives to meet skills and competencies required to provide safe and effective care to women and their families.
• Facilitate and assess competency by working with midwives in the clinical area, encouraging reflective practice in line with NMC Midwives standards.
• Participate in facilitating the preceptorship program, providing resources that will promote job satisfaction and retention across all areas, including those related to pastoral care, learning support and career development
• Provide support for students, return to practice midwives, junior midwives and internationally recruited midwives.
• Work in partnership with the maternity education team and other trust clinical practice educators.
• Find solutions to improve the environment and monitor the impact and these on retention.
• Participate in local and national education initiatives and support the maternity education team in teaching on the multidisciplinary in-house PROMPT training.
• Implement change as necessary and actively participate in risk management auditing midwifery practice.
• Work collaboratively with the local and regional workforce retention teams to inform and evaluate the local and national retention of midwives.
