About you:

We are looking for a Business Support Assistant to assist in the smooth running of business operations across Schools. This post will appeal to anyone who is looking for a varied and interesting role. You will have experience of current administrative practices in a busy office environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work consistently under pressure, prioritise work, and meet deadlines are essential requirements of the role.

A range of GCSEs including English Language and Maths at Grade C or above or appropriate equivalent experiential learning is essential, as is a word processing/typing/IT qualification or demonstrable equivalent experiential learning.

About the role:

Student Administration manage the University’s student records system and related processes, which underpin the student journey from application to graduation, and provide advice to colleagues across the University on student lifecycle processes and the systems that support them.

The role also involves providing support to applicants, students and staff who require assistance in understanding, updating or validating the data within the student record and wider student systems portfolio. You will also work with a wide range of students and staff, supporting assessment activity on programmes ranging from foundation years to postgraduate degrees. Working closely with the academic departments, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent student experience.
