Summary
Our client is one of the UK's leading property maintenance and refurbishment groups with a turnover of c.£250m, with a national presence serving sectors such as social housing, defence, hotel and leisure, healthcare, education, and more.
Our client has grown significantly over the last few years and has ambitious growth plans to double in size in the next 4 years.
To support our continued growth we are looking for a Fire Door Installer to join our team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
As a Fire Door Installer and Fire Stopping Installer, your responsibilities will include:
Installation of fire door sets
All aspects of fire door maintenance
Working on your own as well as part of a team, working closely with others to solve problems as and when they arise
Liaising with colleagues and managers on a daily basis
Carrying out fire door assessments and record findings via app (eg Bolster)
Installation of fire rated loft hatches.
Construction of fire rated stud partitions.
Ability to interpret and adhere to the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring that compliance is always at the forefront of all works
Record all works (including photographic) via app (eg Bolster)
Person Specification:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:
Previous experience working as a carpenter with at least 5 years' experience in the industry
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in joinery or other relevant trade.
CSCS Card
FIRAS Accreditation desirable but not a deal breaker
Asbestos Awareness
Experience of working in occupied environments including Local Authority, Education and Health sectors
Be able to communicate effectively and courteously
A good awareness of Health & Safety on site
Ability to problem solve
Full toolkit to carry out the works required
DBS check will be carried out.
