Summary

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Childrens Support Worker (Team Leader) to join our clients team and contribute to providing a high-quality respite care service for families in Guildford and surrounding areas in Surrey.

The successful candidate will be working shifts either 7am-215pm, 145pm-9pm or 10am-6pm on a 3 weekly rota basis. You will also working some weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering personalised care as outlined in individual care plans, including personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, and meals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the well-being of children/young adults, reporting any changes or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, health and safety, and daily reports.
  • Foster therapeutic relationships, promoting the rights and dignity of each child/young person.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and best practices.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for both staff and service users.
  • Collaborate effectively with the care team and multidisciplinary professionals to enhance service delivery.
Personal Development:
  • Engage in your professional development by discussing goals and training needs with the Manager.
  • Attend relevant training and contribute to initiatives that foster effective team dynamics.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a care role, ideally with children and young adults.
  • A relevant level 3 qualification is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • A commitment to promoting dignity and respect for individual's customs, cultures, and beliefs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently, with good problem-solving skills.
  • A desire to support the continuous improvement of service quality.

You will be paid an annual salary of £30,550-£37,450 depending on experience working 37.5 hours per week. You will also have the Christmas period off.
