Summary
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Theatre Scrub Nurse to join our Gynaecological surgery sessions. In this role, you will provide crucial support during gyneacoligival surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team to deliver optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities: Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. Assist the surgical team by anticipating the surgeons needs and passing instruments during procedures. Maintain strict sterile techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent infection. Verify patient details and adhere to safety protocols, including surgical timeouts. Monitor and accurately count surgical instruments, sponges, and needles before, during, and after surgery. Assist with post-operative room clean-up, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments. Document the surgical procedure, instrument counts, and any significant observations.
