Summary
The post holder will be required to be an experienced practitioner with significant practical skills. The role is both operational as well as managerial, therefore you will be required to have a ‘hands on’ approach.

Position: Site Manager Part Time
Working hour: 22 Hours per week (Wednesday – Friday)
Split shift: 7.00am – 10.45am and 2.45pm-6.30pm
Salary: SCP C1 10 - 15 (£26,835 - £29,093 (FTE)
Disclosure: Enhanced
Hours could be extended in time for the right candidate.
Core responsibilities
• Communicate effectively and monitor outside contractors
• Review maintenance log on building information system (Smartlog) and post
updates
• Complete statutory checks and update building information system
(Smartlog)
• Monitor the condition of the site and grounds to ensure that an appropriate
standard is achieved
• Ensure effective risk management, for example, in health and safety, and in
the management of third-party service contracts.
• Understand about risk assessment tools and how to use them to establish
Generic Responsibilities
• To set and monitor the school heating and hot water systems
• To take energy readings and upload to Smartlog
• To ensure the school is kept clean and tidy and is conducive of learning

Criteria Qualities
Qualifications
Ideally hold a recognised qualification associated with premises management
Training in health & safety related to premises management role
Good levels of literacy and numeracy
Qualified driver with clean license
Experience
skills and knowledge
Practical handyperson skills necessary to undertake general building maintenance, minor repairs and porterage duties
Experience in painting, decorating and plumbing
Experience in basic/general building repairs and maintenance
Experience of working in a site management role, ideally in a primary school or other educational setting
Risk Assessment experience/ qualification
Experience in manual handling, COSHH, Legionella, asbestos etc
Good ICT skills
Personal qualities
Good communication skills
The ability to manage own time effectively and demonstrate initiative
Ability to priorities and manage workflow whilst maintaining a flexible approach to respond to urgent requests
Ability to work under pressure and priorities effectively.
The ability to work as part of a team or individually as required
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of children
Ability to contribute to the life of the school
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Ability to comply with health & safety regulations to ensure that all duties are carried out safely
