About the service and Team
The After School Club runs in 2 locations in the borough - 1 in Central Sutton and 1 at The Grange Play Centre in Beddington Park. The Holiday Club runs at The Grange. We offer high quality play opportunities for children aged 4 - 12. We work closely with parent and other agencies to ensure that children are given the right level of support to engage in the activities we offer. We are an inclusive setting and provide a excellent levels of care for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

We are an enthusiastic and vibrant team who strive to do the best for children.

About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate
About the role

To support the management team in the provision of high quality and inclusive early and childcare services which meet the individual play, learning, care, health and social and emotional developmental needs of all children attending Play Service settings in partnership with their parents/carers.
To create a welcoming and family-friendly environment, working as part of a team.
To adhere to essential policies and procedures – both at LBS and setting level
To ensure all children are kept protected and safe through the use of recognised child protection guidelines and that children are referred to other agencies as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

Experience of working with children aged 4-12yrs.
Able to manage own time efficiently
Ability to work as part of a team
Warm and caring personality – friendly and approachable to families
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and children, at all levels.
Commitment to equal opportunities for all children and families
Able to accommodate the flexible working patterns that may be required e.g. moving staff from site to site at short notice.
Demonstrable learning and reflection about inequality, inclusion, racism and the experiences of people from black and ethnic minority backgrounds in accessing services.
Excellent people skills, with the ability to build professional supportive relationships with parents and partners alike
