Summary


We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-motivated Chief Paediatric Audiologist / Senior Audiological Scientist to join our Audiology team.

The Paediatric Audiology Services covers all sites within the Trust but the majority of your initial clinical duties will be at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Employed by Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust you may be required periodically to provide services for High Wycombe & Amersham Hospitals. We are a small but well equipped Department with one of the shortest waiting lists in the country.

The department offers a wide range of Audiological Services but you will be expected to maintain your clinical duties alongside managerial and leadership duties for both diagnostic and habilitative Paediatric Audiology. You will also be expected to lead and manage our Bone Anchored Hearing Aid service and assist the Head of Audiology.

Support the ENT Consultants in the diagnosis, treatment and habilitation of hearing impairment.

Undertake & manage clinical assessments of auditory function in patients of all ages, using behavioural and electrophysiological test procedures in accordance with departmental practice and protocols.

Select, verify and evaluate personal hearing aids for the hearing impaired population in accordance with national and departmental guidelines.

Manage and lead the provision of Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHAs) for children.
