About the Senior Production Supervisor job

Reporting to the Production Manager, the purpose of your role will be to manage daily production operations, ensuring products meet specifications, quality standards, and delivery deadlines while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Key tasks

Manage teams, monitor attendance and performance, and ensure smooth shift handovers.

Execute production plans efficiently, minimising waste and maximising output.

Enforce food safety, health regulations, and company policies. Maintain hygiene standards, oversee audits, and conduct workplace inspections.

Facilitate staff training, identify skill gaps, and maintain training records to enhance team competency.

Collaborate with departments, track production metrics, and maintain accurate records of performance and compliance.

About you

The successful candidate shall have 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment, ideally within food manufacturing.

Ideally possess IOSH certification or similar, but not essential.

The Senior Production Supervisor job (ref:8861) is paying £30,000 to £35,000 per annum according to your experience.

The site is in Wigan, Greater Manchester and is commutable from Manchester, Bolton, Warrington, Preston, Ormskirk, St Helens, Chorley and Bury, along with other areas of Lancashire and Merseyside.

The package includes 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, a Pension, an Employee Assistance Programme and many other benefits.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 08.00am to 4.30pm and Friday, 07.30am to 3.00pm, equating to 39 hours a week. You shall have the flexibility to work overtime as needed by the company.
