We are recruiting a Exercise Referral Professional at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2026
Location: Caerphilly Leisure Centre
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Sport and Leisure Services.
We pay an attractive salary of £25,584 - £27,269 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Exercise Professional to join the National Exercise Referral Scheme (NERS) in Caerphilly. In this rewarding role, you will lead weight loss education sessions and structured exercise classes for individuals referred to the programme.
Following the All Wales Weight Management Pathway, you will play a key role in empowering clients to achieve their weight loss goals and improve their overall health through evidence-based exercise and lifestyle guidance. If you have a commitment to making a real difference in people's lives, we’d love to hear from you!
For the role, we ask that you have:
A Health and Fitness Related qualification, a Level 3 advance gym instructor qualification, a Level 2 group work qualification, and a First Aid qualification.
Thorough theoretical understanding of anatomy and physiology.
A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to organise classes and carry out assessments.
