Crynodeb
Competition and livery yard with excellent training facilities and a wellness centre. We have a variety of horses from top level competition horses to animals needs rehabilitation
All yard duties, including turning in/out fit competition horses, lunging, mucking out, field maintenance. Need to be competent & confident working around horses with recent experience. Possibility of riding for right candidate.
You will be required to work some weekends. Working hours are 7.30am-12.30pm then 2.30pm-5.30pm.
No accommodation on-site but own horse welcome.
The apprenticeship is based on-site full time so not lots of time sitting in a classroom. If you did not gain your GCSE's at school we can help you gain this whilst on programme.
The interview process will be held working on the yard for a day.
You must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 or more years to apply for this role.
Wage dependant on experience
Training
All training will be provided on
site during your paid working hours.
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination
of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training
Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English
and maths is beneficial but not essential.
If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your
Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Skills required
Have experience handling horsesIdeally a rider
Prospects
They are very keen to upskill team members and promote internally where possible. They have a very experienced team in many different equestrian fields.
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
Duration 15 Months
