We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Barrowford area. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client who has Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy to lead an individual and independent lifestyle within their own home and the community. Our client has varied interests but particularly enjoys Sci-fi & Marvel films, going to the cinema, music, & good conversation. Whilst care experience is an advantage, the ideal person for this role will have similar interests and be able to provide companionship to the client.
You will be working as part of a small team which will be on a 2:1 basis.
Your contracted hours will be: 20 hours per week which will be primarily Monday - Friday but there may be occasional weekend working required.

A rate of pay of £11.77 per hour

Who we are looking for:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
- Domestic duties (Laundry, cleaning, and cooking nutritious meals and general tidying).
- Monitoring of general health and well being, and daily record keeping.
- Providing companionship, and accompanying clients out in the community.
- Personal care & Moving and handling tasks, and general care experience (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.
