Summary
Gladrags seeks a proactive, organised, person-centred individual to grow the costume service. The role suits someone who thrives in a creative, busy environment and enjoys working with a diverse range of people. Opportunity to contribute to sustainability initiatives, human resources, outreach activities, and more. This role is part-time, 30 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
-Work with the Director to guide a volunteer team to run the costume store,
balancing daily duties, volunteer interests, and efficient service.
-Oversee excellent customer service, including costume guidance, managing the
hire process and providing a welcoming, differentiated experience.
-Handle bookings, customer communications, and front-of-house administration.
-Develop systems and documents to enhance customer service and operations.
-Support the Volunteer Coordinator with onboarding, training, and development of
volunteers.
-Work with the Director to progress the organisation’s sustainability goals and
activities.
-Assist with community outreach activities, including children’s dress-up and
reminiscence events.
-Collaborate with other members of a small management team on strategic
planning and policy development.
-Represent Gladrags externally and build key relationships with customers and
stakeholders.

Experience (totalling at least one year):
-Managing or coordinating a small team
-Customer service or public-facing roles
-Project managing people/situations
Ability to:
-Work independently and manage multiple tasks
-Delegate and empower others
-Remain calm and prioritise in busy environments
-Communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and learning needs
-Build relationships with stakeholders
