About the Role
As a Behaviour mentor, you will:
- Work closely with students to support their social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Identify triggers and underlying causes of challenging behaviour.
- Implement effective strategies to manage and improve behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Serve as a role model, inspiring students to develop resilience and self-confidence.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working with young people, especially those with behavioural challenges.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and intervention techniques.
- Awareness of the factors contributing to challenging behaviour, such as trauma, anxiety, or unmet needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
- Minimum qualification of GCSE
Desirable Qualifications:
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Education, Youth Work, or a related field.
- Additional training in behaviour management or SEN (Special Educational Needs) support.
